How NVG is Working for Members This Summer & Fall:

  • NVG has refreshed our Wildfire Resources page on our website, with tools before, during and after an emergency.
  • Don’t miss our Train-the-Trainer Forklift workshop on July 22. Take advantage of this professional development opportunity giving grape growers the knowledge and skills required to effectively train other employees on the safe operations of forklifts.
  • Harvest STOMP will take place on Saturday, August 28 by invitation only. Additionally, the Harvest STOMP e-Auction will run from August 19 – 26.
  • As the sole fundraiser for both NVG and the Farmworker Foundation, here are ways you can get involved in Harvest STOMP this year.
  • NVG has compiled our Grape Grower profiles onto one landing page to share our common passion for farming sustainably and preserving Napa Valley for future generations.
  • Save the Date for ROOTSTOCK, in-person on November 12 featuring high-level, engaging seminars, continuing education credits, and a parallel Spanish track on leadership and professional development.

How FWF is Working for Employers & Farmworkers This Summer & Fall:

  • Back by popular demand-a Summer Technology Workshop. This workshop series covers basic computer functions and concludes with an introduction to the online curriculum being used in the ESL program.
  • Don’t miss our Train-the Trainer Forklift workshop on July 23 in Spanish. Take advantage of this professional development opportunity giving employees the knowledge and skills required to effectively train other crew members on the safe operations of forklifts.
  • We are offering two opportunities to get First Aid/CPR and AED training on July 26 & July 28.  This course will empower team members to recognize an emergency and teach live saving skills as well as how to address cuts, burns and dehydration.
  • Crews can learn about Harvest Night Safety on July 27 including the most recent Cal / OSHA changes for outdoor agricultural operations to keep employees safe
  • The Wildfire Regulations & Safety presentation on July 29 will provide a comprehensive understanding of the health effects of wildfire smoke exposure and up to date Cal/OSHA procedures required to protect workers.
  • Save the Date for this year's Leadership & Management Conference @ ROOTSTOCK (Spanish) in-person on November 10-12 featuring educational seminars for both supervisors and fieldworkers, and continuing education credits.
