We learned a tremendous amount during the 2017 Fires and our Napa community remains strong and focused on resilience and prevention. As an organization, we are committed to continuing to support both recovery and preparedness efforts.

This Fire Resource Guide assists in proactive disaster preparedness and maps out pathways for getting assistance in the event of wildfire. It includes the following:

AT A GLANCE BILINGUAL RESOURCES AND INFORMATION ON WHAT TO DO DURING A FIRE EMERGENCY

For status updates and information on safety protocols:

  1. To prepare for an evacuation, take these precautionary steps
  2. Get updates from Cal Fire
  3. Get updates from County of Napa or on facebook
  4. Listen to KVON Radio 1440 AM or KCBS 740 AM
  5. Be safe - if you feel like you are in danger, leave
  6. Listen to mandatory evacuation warnings - if you are under one, evacuate as quickly as possible
  7. Be aware of road conditions and closures - check here
  8. Download NIXLE and text your zip code to 888777
  9. Calls are overwhelming 911 centers - call 911 only if you see fire near your house
