COVID-19 and CAL/OSHA Updates

Overview:

Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 685 and Senate Bill 1159 into law dramatically changing OSHA and worker’s compensation requirements due to COVID 19. This webinar will cover these new laws establishing a worker’s compensation presumption, critical reporting requirements, employee notification requirements and defining an outbreak. These new laws will impact employers big and small. Employers who fail to comply can be heavily fined and shut down. Join us for a step by step breakdown of what you need to know now.

Meet the Speakers:

Erica Rosasco, McKague Rosasco LLP, Partner

Erica Rosasco is a partner at McKague Rosasco LLP in Roseville, California.  She has received an “AV® Preeminent™” Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating available from Martindale-Hubbell, the leading independent attorney rating entity.  Ms. Rosasco represents agricultural employers in all aspects of employment and civil litigation. Ms. Rosasco is from a cattle ranching family and grew up in the central valley.

Mary Ann Romero, Pan American Insurance Services, Senior Claims Management Advocate

Mary Ann started her workers compensation career in 1992 while working as an agency claim manager.  She was responsible for managing all property and casualty claims including workers compensation for Northern California clients.
Pan American asked Mary Ann to join their team in 1998 as a Workers Client Relations Representative. Her responsibility was to establish claim and risk management services to various customers in California and Arizona.  She eventually transitioned over to Pan American’s Claim manager and managed property casualty claims along with developing various claim products including injury risk management tools, employer training, cost containment, and settlement strategies to assist our customers.
