Dr. Miguel Altieri will present preliminary results of a UC Berkeley Laboratory of Agroecology study on the impact of flowering cover-crops on the enhancement of biological control of insect pests in Napa County vineyards. This research tested management tactics designed to reduce organic and conventional inputs for pest control, and produced new information to help develop cost-effective, ecologically-based pest management strategies.
